Results should be based on performances of the contestants only and not on the family background. Upto 2008, Asianet was adhering this. But in 2009 Idea Star Singer, the channel was partial ie.It announced Joby John as the winner, casting lakhs and lakhs of vote to him and the real talented Srinath was given the 2nd place. A poor person can be helped in somany ways but not openly in the Starsinger programme. The same thing has happened now, where Deepak/Shabeer were eliminated and Antony was made "in". Viewers are spending their valuable time in watching this prog. and let the channel not make them disappointed by selecting the contestants based on the economic status. SMS should be banned ;then only the correct/suitable perfect singer will be shown and win the title for which they are struggling and wasting their precious time. This is the agony of public.LET THE CHANNEL CONTINUE TO JUDGE THE SUITABLE/CORRECT SINGER [JUDGE'S VERDICT SHOULD BE FINAL AND NOT SMS] AND MAINTAIN THE TRB RATING OTHERWISE VERY SOON IT WILL LOOSE THE POPULARITY AMONG VIEWERS.

ISS season 5, is the worst ever we have seen so far and even the grand finale was worse. All knew that it is arranged to give the first price to kalpana, a professional play back singer who was brought from chennai, by Mr. sarath, the permenent judge supported by anuradha sriram, a tamil, brahmin female (kalpana too a brahmin)

I really dont know what is happening ... Honestly, this is rediculous ! There seems to be something happening behind the scenes ! I dont know why the channel didn't take into account the lead Antony had got - almost twice that of the nearest competitor ! Its disgusting to see how a singer like akhil who has never been in a danger zone was eliminated ! with voting lines closed, the result is really clear for everyone to see - KALPANA the so called playback singer who has worked her way with sympathy and nothing more is goin to be the winner - Horrible . Personally, The integrity of the program is now questionable ! i dont want to watch ISS 6 !

If a contestant wants to win a program based on sympathy then please enroll in ISS. For an extra punch drink a bottle of poison or "claim" to have drank poison. You will get through the rounds and finally win in Grand Finale. Well done Kalpana. Asianet, for your kind information, lets first encourage the talents in kerala or malayalees around the world and not other State people. Because programs like ISS are also been conducted in their regional channels.

The viewers of Kerala were made to look like fools by Asianet and the so called super singer Kalpana. The song she sun in the finals was total idiocracy, Utter show off . If any one wants to hear such songs we can really well bring in foriegn singers so that we can watch worldclass music.Asianet organisers may have a look at AXN where The Voice and The X Factor is conducted if they dont know to conduct a program. The partiality shown towards one single person over the others is making of all viewers. This program was conducted for the purpose of one single person and then let her be the only participant.Asianet will lost its creditibilty and its viwership if it continues this trend.

Congradulations Asianet and its judges and also Idea mobile, to fool the whole viewers, but making Mr. Joby John as winner for ISS 4, and to make winner for ISS 5. But dear asianet and Idea mobile, just remember one thing, an idea could fool the viewers 2 times, but not alwayes. see the voting of ISS Grand Finale 5. how much it was reduced. This is a lesson for you people. Kerala viewers are not fools alwayes. Just remember that. As one gentleman wrote earlier here, if its for charity, you have a lot of other wayes, not this one. thank you very much.

SUPER DUPER ALL VIEWERS MADE FOOLS NY ASIANET,IDEA,AND JUDGES. CERTAINLY I CAN SAY SOMETHING, I WILL NEVER WATCH THIS IDIOTIC PROGRAM EVER AGAIN. I am very shocked with the result of Idea Star Singer 5. I think there was some adjustment in declaraing the results. Every year during the performance the no.of SMS received by the participant has shown on screen frequently, but this year it happend very rare. Everything should go with a faith, otherwise the viewers interest will loose.

Dear friends..i know this is a very much used site about idea star singer.i was als a fan of the most popular show..so i feel this s the right plac 2 expres some f my doubts about season5 grandfinale(plzz note that m not blaming the contestants cz m a fan f most of them):::

{[Before that,jus reminding u about the way season4 grandfinale judgement ws made:

1.judges marks of each contestant wer displayed.

2.sms counts wer constantly displayed

3.sms counts of each wer proportioned to a total of 5 marks

4.it was then added to judges marks to get total marks

5.Elimination ws done accordingly & prizes respectively.

#seems to b flawless]}

*#SEASON5 grandfinale#*:---

1.JUDGES' MARKS WER NOT AT ALL DISPLAYED AT ANY POINT OF TIME,though ranjini 1st announced about the judges marks method as each of 4 judges giving marks out of 25 for each song!@!!!!!!!!!

2.SMS COUNTS WER DISPLAYED ONLY TWICE OR THRICE,and that too showing a difference of ONLY 40votes,nearly 500 votes,and nearly 1000 votes for 3 of 5 finalists(WHICH IS UNNNBELIEVABLEEEE),while the other 2 of 5 had a rise of 30000 and 12000.

3.Even at final results,SMS counts wer not announced/displayed and wer not made to any proportion(out of 5 or 10 or whatever be it)

4.and most funny,THER WS NO TOTAL MARKS(judges marks +sms ratio) while eliminating or declaring the most final result!!!!!!!

5.my personal experience..you dont have to believe it..AFTER SOMETIME DURING LIVE SHOW,VOTES WER OPEN ONLY FOR 3 CONTESTANTS.2 WER BLOCKED.SMS REPLY CAME AS NOT SENT FOR 2 of them,WHILE @ SAME TIME,VOTES 4 OTERS WER GOING FRM MY MOBILE ITSELF.but may b SOME NETWORK PROBLEM..ok..

6.NOTE::After the 1st song of 5 contestants,Ranjini announced that THER WAS AN ELIMINATION and one is going 2 b eliminated,and contestants wer asked to get ready 4 that.After some backstage discussions,THAT RULE WAS CHANGED and ranjini announced that THERS NO ELIMINATION THEN..

WHY?WHY?WHY?

VERY NICE!!RULES ARE MADE JUS TO BREAK IT ACCORDING TO CONVENIENCE..NICE..SUPERB..(PLS NOTE THAT JUS B4 THAT,THE DISPLAYED SMS COUNTS WER:ANTONY,IMMANUAL,AKHIL IN THE RANGE OF 35000,MRIDULA 28000,KALPANA 5000).And in final result,AKHIL definitely deserved a far better position,i think there wud b no doubt..anyway,the least sms person finally became 1st,high sms ones bcame 4th & 5th,and judges marks still undisplayed..!!

Kalpana did not diserve to be the winner, after all she is play back singer,competing with younger kids. It looked like she was hand picked at the audition because she is Yesudas's friend's daughter. Very very unfair/unfortunate. At the end SMS had no value after all when it came to the final judgement,too stressful to watch the declaration of results since it was unjust. The show and is becoming to be of low quality. Why do you bring a judge who makes final decision who gets the flat, when no one can voice their opinion in his presence. The value of the show is declining, very unfair,disgusting.

I read a report that Asianet has cheated ISS 4 winner Jobi John. Jobi was supposed to pay a tax of Rs 33 lakhs to acquire the flat he won. As he is unable to pay, Asianet is reported to have cheated Jobi after giving many false promises. Asianet got out of the deal finally and left Jobi at the mercy of the sponsor. The sponsor offered Jobi a flat in Vytilla instead of the villa, on condition that he did not reveal this to the media, and was shown a flat under construction. When he contacted the sponsors recently, he was told that due to the non-availability of workers, the work has been stalled. Whenever Jobi approached Asianet, he was told that it is no longer their responsibility, and asked him to approach the sponsor. It is believed that the tax for the previous winners was paid by the sponsor and Asianet. The value of SMS votes polled by Jobi in the 14 rounds + the grand finale would be enough to pay his taxes.

K S Chitra should reconsider her decision being a judge of ISS. The many dubious decisions are making her lose her popularity. Most of the fans of ISS are musically knowledgeable and, as MG said last season, they can accurately predict the mark that a candidate is going to get after the performance. Many decisions had been influenced by reasons other than singing. The mad house that Kerala is, we don’t have to stretch our imagination to guess what they are. Asianet does not deserve the services of a singer of the calibre of Chitra who has won the national award 6 times and 31 awards from various states. She is only being exploited and being used to lend respectability to many of the channel’s despicable decisions. She has to bear the collective responsibility of all the decisions and she cannot ever escape by explaining that she was or is helpless. If she is helpless and being manipulated or influenced by other judges or the channel, than it is high time she quit the show. I am sure, she does not need the pittance that she is being paid. Anyway, it is not worth it considering the anger and the insults of the people aimed at her that she does not hear and experience. Chitra is the pride of Malayalees and she is looked upon as a treasure of the state. It is distressing to see a channel without any sense of honour or fair-play, exploiting Chitra for vulgar commercial purpose by making her a party to their openly prejudiced games. There is still time for her to retain the respect and good will of the people by quitting instead of having to silently acquiesce with the other rogues.
