Colorful and Beautiful Guppy fishes and Love birds are a good hobby for everyone and the same time a way to earn pocket money if you are ready to spend a little time.

I have been bored all time and i decided to buy some fish as pets which i can look on and spend my time at home.

Watching Fishes Moving around makes our mind calm and energetic. I have also heard about Piranha which is said to be a deadly fish from South America and Amazons which attack and eat flesh and are cannibals.

I am afraid hearing about those Piranhas and i have seen one of my friend owning few of these Piranhas and keeping it in a big cement tank.

He also warned me not to put by hand inside. Like "Finger Chips" Piranhas will chew up hands or anything they get as they like the taste of blood.

Piranhas are the vampires of Water. I don't want to buy a cruel Pet like that.

Fishes like silver arowana are said to be the best as per fengshui , but , it is much costly for me to buy such Arowana.

I need a cute one. So i decided to Buy a Few pairs of Guppies for my Glass Tank Aquarium. The guppies i bought were costly ones imported from another country. It was a special one different from others which was larger in size than normal guppy males and females which we usually find.

I find it exciting to watch and give food to these guppies. Also another good news is that my guppy female was pregnant last week and i put it in a fresh water small tank and it gave birth to 10 little ones. I have put the female guppy back into the tank and i am raising the guppy fry and leave them back into my big tank once they are at least one and a half month older.

Guppy Fish are the cheapest available fishes in the pet stores. There are ordinary guppy fishes and there are new species of Guppy which have an extra large body size and their tails are also very larger than the common guppies we find. These are costly and in India we can get a pair of the ordinary guppy pair at around Rs.5 to Rs.10 (12 Cents) and Colourful latest guppies at Rs.40 which is about 90 cents.

Fish Aquariums are a way of relaxation for many people. Usually children during vacations ask their parents to buy them a fish tank with colourful fishes as part of their hobby. Aquariums are a time pass for many stay at home mothers and old couples. There are lot of people who consider Aquariums as a way of living and have lot of fishes and they breed fishes with extreme care and time. I know a few people who run Aquarium stores at their house.

One of the best hobbies is to spend time with Birds. Do you love birds as pets. If you have just purchased a few birds you would like to know more especially how to feed them.

Do not purchase baby birds , as some of these cute little ones cannot consume food without the help of their mothers. So it is better to buy a bird which has started flying.

Many types of feeders are available for feeding pet birds. They are Hoppers , Platforms , Tube hoppers .etc.

Two small round plates should be placed (make sure the plates are little deeper, so that the food does not get scattered easily) . One plate should be for putting grains and bird foods. And the other should be for drinking water and taking bath (Birds always love to get their feathers drenched and wants to make them clean and beautiful.

Do not over feed the birds. Make sure you leave only that much food as it can consume. If it eats ore it will become fatter and lazy and will not even be able to fly and will make the bird gloomy. You can also feed birds with Thulsi leaves also which keeps away diseases.

Love Birds breed very faster if they are put in a big cage with sufficient space to fly and move around. Two or Three Small pots should be placed to the top portion of the cage for the love birds to put their eggs in it and raise their young ones. While going to buy the love birds you can inquire with the pet store owner how to place the pots in the cage.

Once the young ones are raised your cage will be filled with lot of love birds and you should take care in selling off a few pairs of love birds to prevent the cage from being filled with lot of birds , who will start quarelling and killing each other if there is no space to move around.

Few years back i have lot of love birds in big cages which i used to sell at good prices and i made lot of pocket money. Raising love birds is very cheaper , because the grains given to these birds are available at very cheap rates and so there is no big expenses incurred. To make more money try selling the birds directly , without giving them to pet store owners who will only give a little money.
